Saw a bobcat last night around 6:30 while driving south on the Sanibel Captiva Rd - it was walking near Wulfert Rd. Funny, my wife says "that's a big cat," then we get closer and slow down and she's like "what is that!?". Got a very good look. Like others, wasn't sure what to think and searching brought me here.

So happy all these sightings are taking place!

Just saw a bobcat trot across the street a few hundred yards away from the Dairy Queen - about 9:40 pm. Googled to see if such a thing were possible, and landed here!

Just saw a bobcat in the Dunes development on Sannibel. It walked across our backyard and went into the sanctuary.... Very exciting! Did not have time to get the camera.

A couple of former guests have bought in our area over time but many more spend part of their vacations viewing places or at the very least, with noses pressed against estate agents' windows!

We don't share the same hours of sunshine in Gascony, and our area is not as easily accessed as yours Sanibel for regular visits, otherwise there'd be more purchasing I think.

I hope there is more than one and that they produc...

Two nights ago during our annual trip to Captiva, my husband was on his way from Baileys on San-Cap Road toward Captiva. There he was. He stopped and watched him saunter across the road, looked right at the vehicle, and moved into the brush. How cool is that?! No doubt there are Bobcats on Sanibel!!

Cycling a great way to see the area you are staying in...OK you don't get as far but you actually see more! Here in Normandy we have in excess of 1,000kms of cycling tracks which are made up from the old railway lines now converted as green lanes, bikes, horses and people only through the heart of the countryside and through little towns and villages... it is possible to get from Cherbourg to Mont St Michel... but you'll also gain nice big strong thighs!

Cycling is becoming more and more popular here too...

Cycling is becoming more and more popular here too in Normandy - it's a great way to explore and takes you to areas you miss when in a car... OK you don't get as far but you do see more! We have over a thousand kms designated for cycling off the roads here in Normandy & in fact it is possible to go from Cherbourg to Marseilles buy bike on old converted railway lines...now that would give you big strong thighs!
